Established in 1891 as the University of Texas Medical Department, UTMB has grown from one building, 23 students and 13 faculty members to a modern health science center with more than 70 major buildings, more than 2,500 students and more than 1,000 faculty.

Job Description 

Min Qualifications
High school or GED equivalent

Two years wage earning dental assisting experience required. Graduation from an accredited dental assistant school may be substituted for the two years wage earning experience.

Must be currently registered or must become registered with the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners as required by state law and defined by the Rules and Regulations of the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners.

Job Description:

Performs direct and indirect patient care procedures as well as general clinical and support tasks, as specifically delegated or directed by the supervising dentist.

Min Qualifications
Work environment is located with in the confines of a prison, jail, or juvenile detention facility. Security clearance and pre-employment drug screening is required.

Work Schedule
position is not benefit eligible and hours worked can not exceed 16 hours bi-weekly.

Salary Range
Commensurate with experience $26,880.00 - 40,320.00
