Function: Clinical Operations Family: Clinical Operations What Clinical Operations contributes to CareFusion Clinical Operations is responsible for supporting the timely and quality sale, installation and monitoring of CareFusion products and services; may also provide product and service education to facilitate technology adoption and workflow change management. - Participates in or leads clinical pre-sales support, assessment and evaluation of new products and services
- Participates in or leads the post-sales assessment, design, implementation and monitoring of new products and services
- Develops, plans and manages customer training programs
- Serves as lead consultant and resource to internal and external customers
- Makes recommendations that will drive customer acceptance and utilization of new products and services
- Identifies and communicates opportunities for product improvement using direct customer feedback
What is expected of you and others at this level in Clinical Operations for functional success - Proactively develops and maintains broad knowledge of the technical disciplines in own functional area(s); applies broad knowledge of trends and best practices in a manner that ensures exceptional performance and results.
- Demonstrates deep customer expertise; collaborates with appropriate parties to identify the drivers leading to business success.
- Uses deep subject matter/functional expertise, influence and process skills to help internal/external customers and stakeholders identify and meet their high priority needs while considering cultural and diversity implications.
- Diagnoses problems related to daily transactional processes; determines possible resolutions and implements effective solutions in a timely manner.
Accountabilities in this role - Works as part of the implementation team with responsibility for clinical implementation activities; primary focus will be on new Pyxis installations, high profile accounts and complex implementations; supports implementations of new products and new product versions at limited release sites
- Collaborates with project stakeholders (both internal and external) to make certain goals set during the pre-contract stage are incorporated as part of the overall implementation planning
- Assists with the development of training and mentoring program designed for implementation teams
- Serves as mentor for Product Implementation Engineers and Analysts
- Serves as conduit between the customer, implementation teams and new product integration team to ensure that the voice of the customer is integrated in product development and services
- Executes billable optimizations
- Performs post-implementation Clinical assessment to assist customer with benefits realization of product functionality and workflow
Qualifications - BS degree in Nursing or Pharmacy required. Advanced degree MSN or Pharm D strongly preferred
- Must have 7 to 10 years clinical experience with 5 years clinical management experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively interface with individuals of varied backgrounds; develop relationships, and establish rapport
- Must understand and identify clinical issues and be able to predict needs and trends.
- Strong project leadership skills with ability to manage multiple projects, establish processes and handle competing interests
- Excellent presentation skills with ability to conduct presentations comfortably to large groups at clinical and executive level
- Must be able to work collaboratively on different projects and teams throughout all organizations
- Must have the aptitude to acquire knowledge about computer applications: various databases and report writers
- Must have above average knowledge of computer applications: MS Excel, Word, ACCESS, PowerPoint
- Ability to work independently without day to day supervision on assigned projects
- Must be able to travel overnight 80%
