Job Description

Baylor Health Care System is a not-for-profit, faith-based healthcare system with many care locations in the Dallas-Ft. Worth community. Advanced Practice Nurse's at Baylor Health Care System are respected clinical experts who work in close collaboration with RNs and physicians to provide safe, quality, compassionate care. They act as role models and consultants for their teams, enhancing efficiency and positively affecting patient outcomes.
 
The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) practices in an advanced role in a defined population. Through advanced nursing knowledge, is responsible for the development and application of high standards and research to enhance the quality of care in the assigned areas. Functions autonomously and in collaboration with health care providers as an expert clinical practitioner, researcher, consultant, leader, and educator. Assesses patient/family and staff educational needs and implements learning modalities to meet these needs. Develops, teaches, coordinates, and evaluates education programs in collaboration with other educators/managers.
 
The Nurse Practitioner (NP)
As a nurse practitioner at Baylor, you'll be empowered to make decisions that improve patient care, while being supported by a highly effective, multidisciplinary health care team. You'll be actively involved in decision-making, and you'll have the resources you need to get the job done.  Baylor's nurse practitioners work in clinical, inpatient or outpatient settings to provide primary or acute care. Working with attending physicians, NPs evaluate, plan and provide the high quality of care that Baylor is known for. They perform clinical procedures, initiate tests and patient care and educate patients and their families. They also share their expertise and mentor others while learning from the physicians they work with.

Job Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:
Masters prepared in advanced practice. Texas RN license required.
CNS Certification recognized by the Texas Board of nursing or
Nurse Practitioner  -  can be ACNP, FNP, or ANP Requires a minimum of 3-5 years of current work experience in endoscopy.
