AmeriPath, Inc. is one of the nation's largest physician and laboratory companies focused on providing anatomic pathology, cancer diagnostic, and healthcare information services to physicians, hospitals, national clinical laboratories and managed care organizations. Presently operating in 24 states, we provide medical services through outpatient pathology laboratories, hospital inpatient laboratories, and outpatient surgery centers. AmeriPath has an immediate opening for an Associate Sales Representative in the Maryland territory.
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Strong organizational and planning skills
* Negotiation skills
* Develop and sustain strong customer relationships
* Account management
* Strong leadership potential
* Understanding of pathology industry, reimbursement issues, physician offices, managed care and anatomic pathology testing.
* Computer skills with all MS Office products.
* Understanding of sales process
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS and EXPERIENCE
* 2-5 years of successful front line sales experience including strong 'closing' skills
* Experience in sales preferably in a physician's office or other healthcare related industry
* Knowledge of the healthcare industry and general economics of business
EDUCATION
* Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or the Life Sciences
