Job Overview
This position assists in providing technical support to Plexus global user community while ensuring that applications and systems are available and functioning in support of business processing. Provides technical monitoring and management of systems during normal operation periods as well as identifies, troubleshoots and resolves technical issues reported by system monitoring or user contact. This position as part of the IT Operations staff will provide support for the business processing to a global community that will include around the clock monitoring and management.
Responsibilities
Principle Accountabilities:
� Ensures user satisfaction by providing technical assistance while troubleshooting and resolving routine problems.
� Assists and coordinates escalation of critical issues to appropriate technical resources.
� Provides user communication.
� Monitors applications and systems that provide business processing to a global community.
� Monitors applications and systems that provide protection to infrastructure related systems.
� Assists with the operational duties of system backup and recovery.
� Maintains data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity.
� Provides resolution to users� requests for account related activity.
� Ensures proper operation of computer equipment and software.
� Additional duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
� Individual typically possesses a Bachelor�s Degree in a related field.
� Individual typically possesses a minimum of 2 years related experience.
� Individual typically possesses credentials of certifications from A+ or Microsoft.
� The employee must successfully complete all internal training courses offered by the company necessary to do the job.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
� Display practical and creative problem solving skills.
� Demonstrate an ability to work effectively under pressure in often critical situations.
� Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
� Be a motivated, self-directed individual with the ability to work well with minimal supervision.

� The employee will work on problems of limited scope following standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained.
� The employee must possess excellent customer service skills including direct interaction with users, assertiveness and persistence to address issues to closure.
� Computer literacy in Windows desktop and server environments is required, including but not limited to current operating systems, word processing, spreadsheets, flowcharting, and any other software development, documentation, or project management tools needed to perform assignments.
� Experience with supporting business processing associated with an Enterprise Resource Planning application in a global environment.
� Experience in supporting applications delivered via web technology, Citrix technology and / or client / server methodologies.
� Experience in supporting common business applications such as Email, Active Directory and tape backup.
� Possess the knowledge of working with individuals from non-US locations, bi-lingual knowledge is a definite plus.
� The employee must maintain a high level of confidentiality of all departments, company, and customer information while working safely, at all times.
� Must be able to cover multiple shifts as needed and able to travel.
