Malcolm Pirnie, Inc is seeking a Senior Project Engineer for our Houston office. This person will perform project management duties and will lead/supervisor engineers developing detailed design documents for municipal water/wastewater treatment facilities. The ideal candidate will complement the current water/wastewater Treatment Plant Design group in Texas by providing additional project management depth and detailed design engineering skills.
Candidates should possess the following qualifications:- Fifteen or more years of progressively responsible experience with the majority of experience as a consulting engineer in the municipal water industry. Individuals should have experience with project mangement, leadership, technical decision making, and client interaction at the project level. Strong technical skills are also required.- Significant treatment plant design experience including development of conceptual/preliminary designs, detailed design document preparation, and office engineering during construction.- Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to conduct effective client presentations and written report preparation.- Demonstrated project management experience including budget and schedule monitoring and control responsibilities.- Experience mentoring and supervising other design engineers.- B.S. degree in engineering; M.S. a plus.
