Receives and verifies incoming currency and/or coin and deposits and other transactions for branches and commercial customers. Processes related orders and prepares appropriate entries and documentation. Receive currency and coin orders from branches and customers. Prepare large currency transaction logs and customer receipts. Verify completed orders to documentation to maintain control and accuracy. Process and verify incoming currency and/or coin deposits from branches and other transactions according to established procedures and performance standards. Strike and balance all money received; process appropriate entries reflecting daily activity. Prepare customer deposit differences and Canadian exchange entries. 
 
Complete other responsibilities, as assigned. Adhere to established standards for teller differences as well as other pertinent internal policies and procedures. Maintain current knowledge of applicable Federal regulations including Bank Secrecy. Ensure compliance, operational risk controls in accordance with HSBC or regulatory standards and policies; and optimize relations with regulators by addressing any issues. Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the HSBC brand. Maintain HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
 
Basic Qualifications:
 

Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent experience
Entry-level position requiring up to six months on-the-job training
Demonstrated organizational, mathematical and communications skills
Ability to operate various office equipments
Proficiency with personal computers as well as pertinent mainframe systems and software packages
Ability to work overtime and/or lift up to 50 pounds as required
