Job Description 

Position Overview:
The Clinical Resources Technician performs duties related to system integration, which includes business needs analysis and customer requirements; participation in system design and development; project implementation; documentation; and end user training.

In concert with CHWMF Leadership and CHW-IT, the position is responsible for the development and effective use of systems utilized by CHW Medical Foundation, including but not limited to Allscripts EMR system, Elysium Data Repository and IQMax. Assigned projects are worked on with a fair degree of independence within the scope of duties and responsibilities.

Reporting Relationship:
Position is a member of the Training and Development (Clinical Resources) team. Position reports to the Training and Development manager.



Essential functions include but are not limited to:

1. Ensures that all actions taken and methods used to produce the results outlined below incorporate and promote the mission and values of Catholic Healthcare West.
2. Provides expedient and effective service to customers.
3. Communicates effectively and provides support to all members of the organization to ensure achievement of common goals and objectives.
4. Serves as an example of appropriate professional behavior and demeanor.
5. Serves as an example of superior customer service skills.
6. Other duties as assigned.



System Analyst Responsibilities:

1. Ensure that business and operational processes have completed by pre-determined schedules.
2. Participates in the upgrades of existing systems and the installation of new systems.
3. Under the direction of the Sr. Analyst and/or department Manager, develops and manages detailed system processes and functionality, the system maintenance of dictionaries and tables utilized in system functionality, and integration with other systems and processes
4. Participates directly with customers to provide first line system support and to ensure that system functionality meets process needs.
5. Provides first level support of mobile computing devices used in relation to systems used in clinics.
6. Identifies those factors that affect performance, analyzes those factors and communicates the result of that analysis to management.
7. Other projects as assigned.


Qualifications: (The requirements listed below should be representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.)

Education: An Associate's Degree or Certification in Business Administration or Computer Information Systems preferred. A combination of experience and education can be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
Certification/Licensure:
Experience: One to two years of information systems experience applying analytical methodologies, with specific experience utilizing an Electronic Medical Record system preferred. One to two years of experience providing Technical Support preferably in a health care environment.
Experience working in a physician practice / clinical environment preferred.


Skills:
1. Demonstrated skill in troubleshooting processes and applying technical solutions to resolve.
2. Demonstrated ability to motivate others to achieve goals.
3. Demonstrated ability to lead others in difficult situations.
4. Strong problem solving skills, ability to manage project tasks and timelines, and analytical ability.
5. Ability to work with and communicate to a diverse work force in all levels of the organization.
6. Strong communication and leadership skills required.
7. Must be able to adapt easily to change and lead others in a team environment.

9. Principles of application, analysis and testing
