Position Description:
As a key member of the Global Systems and Connectivity (Upstream Marketing) team you will drive the definition of software applications which support Welch Allyn low end vital signs products used in Acute and Ambulatory worldwide market segments.
Reporting directly to the Global Category Director, you will develop the software product roadmap and requirements definition for future releases.

Position Requirements:
A Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business or Nursing combined with solid strategic, upstream marketing experience is essential for success.
Demonstrated market research and requirements definition in medical technology / Electronic Medical Record (EMR) company is a real advantage. Background in a software business with IT products may be considered.
25% - 30% travel, including international, will be required along with an ability to partner for success, have global awareness, thoroughly understand and be understood, build relationships and deliver on commitments

Position Attributes:
Major initial objectives and deliverables will be to develop the software road map, create software marketing requirements documents, and collaborate with Product Development teams to ensure software products are delivered as defined. You will also participate with Clinical Affairs on clinical validation of software products and will support and manage initial / major software product launches.
Software product responsibilities will encompass a broad range of products including Low End Vital Signs (Spot LXi, VSM 300, Thermometry, Acuity, Propaq), wall and desk products (Physical assessment, Blood Pressure, EENT, etc.), and Clinical applets
Your challenge will be to create software products and strategies which will encourage worldwide acceptance of automated low end vitals products. These software products will intersect with the Central Station software products and close coordination and cooperation will be needed. In addition as configurations for wall and desk medical device products are defined, you will define the software roadmap and requirements to support these new configurations.
Additional objectives will be to drive market research and requirements generation for clinical applets, and to provide marketing input on third party software applications to support partnership initiatives. |
