Description
Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for general office duties including correspondence and report preparation, scheduling appointments and meetings, answering telephones, processing mail, data entry, coordinating employment candidate testing, and filing.
2. Responsible for maintaining personnel files, attendance and PTO records, job updates, and the Human Resources data base.
3. Monitor absenteeism and PTO requests.
4. Sick leave policy administration.
5. Coordinate employment candidate travel arrangements.
6. Provide assistance as needed to salaried employees.
7. Prepare new hire packages; keep benefits materials updated; maintain job descriptions electronically.
8. Coordinate temporary employee staffing activities and other recruiting assignments as required.
9. Assist in the planning and organizing of employee recreational activities.
10. Prepare all employee hire and separation paperwork.
11. Conduct new hire orientations and sign ups as needed.
12. Develop HRIS system applications.
13. Active participant in Lean Events.
Qualifications (education, experience, personal attributes):
1. High school graduate. A college degree in Business Administraiton or Human Resources is strongly preferred.
2. Previous experience in an administrative position required.
3. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint is required.
4. Must be detail orientated, able to multi-task, accurate and organized.
5. Ability to work independently and without direct supervision; able to maintain confidentiality.
6. Minimum typing speed requirement of 50 wpm.
7. General knowledge of employment law required.
8. Good written and verbal communication skills.
