Job Description

"As a Strategic Account Executive, you will be prospecting for business clients, professionally addressing their detailed communication needs and making expert recommendations for service solutions. Responsibilities:

� Team with customers through a strategic sales approach to understand their business needs, priorities, and strategies to effectively deliver a solution.

� Manage a sales funnel and demonstrate continued account development progression, leading to new sales.

� Prepare sales plans, forecasting, and recommendations to drive account revenue potential.

� Create, deliver, opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell products and services to current Deltacom customers.

� Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified prospects and manage a base of Strategic accounts, this includes customer management, problems solving skills, and identifying customer needs.

� Expand the market awareness of Deltacom services in territory.

� Identify decision makers, conduct needs assessments, and identify appropriate solutions.

� Handle sales, territory and account administration duties.

� Candidate must be a strong presenter; demonstrate a strong knowledge of the telecommunications business; and possess experience in negotiating contracts.

� Prepare and present strategic proposals and that support our customer?s vision and goals.

� Ensure outstanding customer service by involvement in the coordination and project management during both pre and post sales phases.

� Close business with customers by gaining commitment to implement valued solutions.

� Strategic selling skills a requirement

� Experienced in winning new business and selling against competition


Education and Experience:

� Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university preferred.

� Deltacom requires a minimum of 3 years experience in selling to enterprise level customers within the defined market area.

� Strong Account Management and client interfacing skills.

� A proven track record in strategic solutions selling

� Telecommunications sales and support at the large account level is required.

� Knowledge of telecommunications network applications


Other Qualifications:


� Strong presentation skills, and negotiation skills, and drive to succeed

� Excellent interpersonal, organizational, writing and communications skills to deal with all levels of people, both inside and outside the company required.

� Ability to take initiative and handle various tasks simultaneously while working efficiently, effectively, and independently under minimal supervision required
