Nurse Practitioner

We are currently seeking a full Time Family or Adult Nurse Practitioner to join our health team in Chicago, IL.

This position provides general medical care and treatment to patients in the health center.

The Nurse Practitioner will:
Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient's clinical problems and health care needs.

Record physical findings, and formulates treatment plan and prognosis.

Provide written home-going instructions.

Prescribe or recommends drug or other forms of treatment such as physical therapy.

Refers patients to Physician for consultation or to specialized health resources for treatment.

Clinic scope of service includes: Acute episodic treatment and work in collaboration with a Physician, Lead RN, and Registrar.
RequirementsRequirements

Education and/or Experience:

Master's degree (MSN) required.

At least three years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner in an ambulatory care, occupational health, or emergency department setting.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Licensed as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner,
Nationally Certified as a Family or Adult Nurse Practitioner,
Current Certification in Basic Life Support is required.
Appropriate certification to write prescriptions if allowed within state of practice.

Ability to carry out procedures such as suturing and dressing changes preferred.

Experience with EMR is a plus!

Good phlebotomy skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
(Any other skills necessary based on JD).
