This position processes all municipal, government, corporate and syndicate bond trades for retail fixed income accounts. Maintain municipal bond inventory and mark to market, as well as underwriting commitments of municipals. Provide daily market updates, offerings and source bonds. Work with Financial Advisors to introduce portfolio bond tool on BondCenter HSBCnet. Execute trades of treasuries, agencies and collateralized mortgage obligations (CMOs), as well as treasury auction orders, and trade execution of commercial paper and brokered certificates of deposit. Qualify Financial Advisors to sell CMOs. Provide daily updates to market and new issue agencies and all secondary offerings. Confirm management information system revenue. Execute secondary trading for corporate and sovereign bonds. Maintain responsibility for Direct Access Notes Programs and preferred equity trust new issues. Complete syndicate trading, including equity initial public offerings (IPOs), equity add-ons, closed-end funds and product information and communications. Maintain responsibility for all orders related to syndicate activities Complete other responsibilities, as assigned. Ensure compliance, operational risk controls in accordance with HSBC or regulatory standards and policies; and optimize relations with regulators by addressing any issues. Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the HSBC brand. Maintain HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
