As our Senior IT Sourcing Specialist, you'll work within the Nike Global Procurement department and manage large cross-functional IT projects from the initial stages of pre-acquisition planning through to the delivery of best commercial solutions, utilizing procurement best practices in the RFP and contracting stages. You’ll ensure the engagement of key stakeholders early in the strategic sourcing process and ensure a consistent, objective and transparent approach with excellent customer service. You'll be responsible for requirements development, spend analysis, market analysis, competitive bidding with e-sourcing tools, cost and price analyst, and price negotiation. You’ll provide analytical and administrative support for various Procurement programs and systems such as supplier diversity, savings reporting, and various cross -functional groups. You’ll be dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers, establishing and maintaining effective relationships and gain their trust and respect; a trusted advisor. You’ll negotiate best in class price, quality, terms and conditions, and service levels for IT products and services. This opportunity also involves identifying opportunities for improvement in costs, process or consumption and utilization by conducting thorough research, analysis and reporting of internal procurement trends and providing counsel to IT groups. You'll handle high-level negotiations, targeting bottom line impact through cost reductions to the business. You must be an absolute self-starter with strong project management skills and possess the ability to effectively manage multiple demands of your time and resources to deliver exceptional results to the Nike IT community.
Requirements for the position include:
5 years of IT Strategic Sourcing experience in technology related areas such as Software, Hardware, Telecom, Professional Services and Outsourced services projects in excess of $1M
Proven ability to negotiate successfully with large suppliers such as HP, SAP, IBM, Oracle, AT&T, Verizon and other large critical suppliers in an intense IT sourcing environment
Strong strategic sourcing skills including e-sourcing tools, supplier diversity, market analysis, spend analysis
Excellent communication skills both one-on-one and in group situations where you are the leader of large discussions and negotiations
Ability to clearly define project objectives and drive aggressive schedules for sourcing activities to meet time sensitive IT schedules
CPM or a related certification is strongly preferred
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite
Ability to make an impact in a rapid paced Procurement Organization
