The MSSB HR Comp and Data team has an immediate opening for an energetic professional with solid analytical and communication skills. The function of MSSB HR Comp and Data is to support clients firm-wide and globally on all HR related data, reporting and systems. The team also facilitates the year-end Compensation and promotions process (this involves market analysis and extensive audit / summary reporting of compensation decisions). This is a diverse role which requires flexibility and enthusiasm, and the ability to work both independently and as a team member.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
On-going basis will streamline processes and create tools (databases, VBA automation, etc.) to facilitate advanced reporting needs and special projects.
Incumbent will also collaborate on several large scale projects that will impact employees across the firm. Such projects include: streamlining and enhancing the HRMS system PeopleSoft to meet the needs of a very complex employee population via a Self-Service Model and assisting with the platform integration efforts across MSSB.
Additionally, will generate regular and ad hoc reporting to all levels of the GWMG HR Team. This includes weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting examining the current state of headcount and open requisitions, as well as trend analysis and forecasting. Also serves as an expert to assist the team with advanced usage of PeopleSoft and MS Office tools.
Additional Responsibilities:
Demonstrate strong initiative, project management skills, and an attention to detail while maintaining a high degree of accuracy in a high volume, fast paced, dynamic, team environment.
Apply technical and analytical skills to ad-hoc data and compensation projects from design to implementation.
Obtain strong working knowledge of multiple reporting tools used for production and ad hoc reporting.
Communicate, collaborate, and network with all levels of employees and management (in particular HR colleagues), and ensure the integrity and quality of all information produced.

4 Yrs Professional Related Work Experience
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Access
Experience automating process via Visual Basic coding
Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint
Ability to integrate multiple data sources, analyze, and manipulate data
Ability to design reports tailored to different audiences
Experience gathering technical requirements
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to seek input at appropriate points
Ability to analyze, create, and document solutions to problems
Ability to manage multiple activities to aggressive deadlines
Solid application and client support skills
Project management skills
