Job Description

Nemours is seeking a Research Nurse - RN2 - Diabetes Educator to join our team in Orlando, Florida.

In Orlando, our 30,000-square-foot clinic houses comprehensive pediatric specialty care under one roof, providing convenient care for the many children with complex cases requiring multiple specialists. Nemours is a fully integrated system of care which includes the Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, Delaware - named one of the 25 Best Children's Hospitals by Parents magazine in 2009.


In 2012, Nemours is opening an unprecedented health campus in Orlando, anchored by a state-of-the-art children's hospital along with a new Nemours Children's Clinic location, an ambulatory diagnostic center and extensive research and education facilities.




The Research Nurse / Diabetic Educator provides pediatric diabetes education utilizing ADA guidelines and pediatric endrocrinology practice to Research participants for purposes of conducting research protocols. The purpose of this position is to be a coordinator and assist in the daily clinical management of research trials and studies, primarily in the area of endocrinology

Responsibilities Include:

  • Coordinate and conduct clinical research protocols in both the inpatient and outpatient CRCs.
  • Recruit and screen patients.
  • Drug Infusions.
  • Prepare initial protocol budgets and be fiscally responsible for management of existing protocols. 
  • Data collection, processing, compilation and analysis.
 



Job Requirements

Registered Nurse, State of Florida
Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Two years experience
