Education Required: Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience
Education Preferred: Masters Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Mathematics or equivalent.

Technical Skills / Knowledge Required: Advanced level of proficiency in all MS Office Applications and excellent analytical skills.

Subject Matter Expertise/Experience Required: Eight years of experience using structured methodologies in analysis and/or quality control
Subject Matter Expertise/Experience Preferred: Eight to twelve years of overall professional/related experience

Additional Education/Experience:
The professional qualified for this position will evidence 8+ years in a leadership capacity supporting security program management or security operations management that includes the following:
1.Ability to understand and translate pre-established policy, standards and compliance regulations and produce tactical, operational procedures.
2.Ability to understand and apply assessment and audit components to security controls that measure performance, reliability and compliance.
3.Experience implementing security programs and controls based on ISO27000 series and NIST 800 series security standards.
4.Familiarity with the CBK security domains to support controls design and documentation for: Network security, application security, database security, access control, systems development, security operations and incident management, data center security, cryptography applied to transmission, web applications, database and communications.
5.Familiarity with Active Directory and AAA technologies.
6.Familiarity with security systems monitoring and incident response for firewalls & proxy devices, IDS/IPS, system logging, AV/AS/AA management, vulnerability scanners and patch/configuration management.
7.Familiarity with penetration testing and security assurance assessment methods.
8.Ability to understand and integrate Disaster Recovery requirements.

Job Responsibilities:  

This role is responsible for the development, integration and management of security operating procedures for a public sector, multi-system environment that includes a proprietary application, web services, operational data store, document management and routing systems, user learning management systems and internal/external services integration that are hosted in multiple client and third party hosting environments.

Expected Performance Goals:

1.Perform overall IT Security and Compliance management for the TIENET implementation at the New York City Board of Education.

2.Complete all SESIS related deliverables, on time and on budget.

3.Contribute to the profitability of customer contract by refining communications and change management activities.
