The Senior Online Marketing Specialist will assist in the planning and execution of affiliate marketing and comparison shopping engine activities. The role supports multi-channel initiatives to maximize sales revenue within target acquisition costs. Affiliate marketing responsibilities include identifying and evaluating new partnerships as well as strengthening existing performance based relationships. This individual will be responsible for recommending affiliate media buys, creative asset delivery, campaign optimization, and reporting and analysis. The Senior Online Marketing Specialist will also assist with the management of the comparison shopping engines (CSE's). This individual will oversee existing feed based programs as well as identify and launch new CSE's. Position manages the product feed integrity and develops new strategies to improve optimization techniques; focusing on ROI. This position will interface with cross-functional groups including marketing, merchandising, ecommerce, and IT to develop effective marketing strategies and promotional activities. Position Responsibilities - Work in conjunction with internal and external resources to create marketing materials to support a wide-range of promotions, campaigns and events, requiring understanding of the assigned business segment.
- Develop communications for and with the field, i.e., stores, sales force, telesales, to ensure understanding and effectiveness of marketing programs. Frequently interact with other areas in Marketing and throughout the business. May be assigned to work on cross-functional teams with other Marketing areas, depending on the nature and scope of the project.
- Determine effectiveness of marketing campaigns by tracking and analyzing results. Based on these results, recommend changes and new methodologies to improve Return on Investment, customer retention/growth and understanding within all areas of the company.
- Review market trends, consumer behavior and industry activity to more effectively market to the OfficeMax customer base, both retail and/or contract.
- Provide training and technical assistance to lower-level Specialists, functioning as mentor and/or project lead on certain project segments.
- Demonstrate a commitment to OfficeMax core values of safety, integrity, process improvement, and customer satisfaction.

- Bachelor's degree in marketing or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Minimum of four years marketing or related experience
- Developed business acumen, with strong understanding of OfficeMax operations
- Demonstrated creative, analytical and detail-oriented skills
- Ability to take initiative, work under general direction and assist lower-level Specialists
- Developed verbal/written communication skills, with strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
