Performs tasks within the pharmacy in direct support of the ongoing duties and responsibilities of a pharmacist. Tasks performed contribute directly to the preparation and/or dispensing of a final dosage form for administration to a patient and are directly supervised by a pharmacist. Provides customer service by answering phone request and triages calls to the appropriate person if they cannot answer the requested information. Applies departmental processes regarding inventory control.
This position requires a High school graduate or GED, at least 6 months experience as a pharmacy technician, and National certification from CPHT Board.Additional Information:This position in Vanderbilt Medical Center Pharmacy is full time- 40 hrs per week.Shift: 2:30 – 11p and every other weekend. Salary Range: $10.97-$15.18 an hour.Background screens will be performed and must be approved prior to employment. Please be prepared to provide required information. Vanderbilt is a smoke-free workplace in compliance with the Non-Smoker Protection Act, Tennessee Code Annotated 39-17-1801-1810. In accordance with that law and Vanderbilt policy, smoking is prohibited in all enclosed areas on Vanderbilt property.
