Job Description
Deltek is seeking experienced EPM implementation consultants. Deltek Enterprise Project Management (EPM) is a suite of project management software applications integrating cost, schedule and resource information for improved project control. The suite includes solutions for Earned Value Management and Analysis and Risk Management for Government Contractors and Government Agencies.This position will serve as a knowledgeable consultant on product implementations for Deltek Global Services clients, participating in the day-to-day operations of implementations as assigned and displaying and executing a basic understanding of the technical, functional and interface impacts of various implementation scenarios. This revenue generating position has performance metrics tied to results and utilization and will require extensive travel, up to 100%. Deltek is focused on our employees� professional development and will provide technical and functional product training as well as consultative skills training. This position will report to the EPM Global Services Consulting Manager.Primary Duties:
  • Under general direction, the successful candidate will perform multiple work assignments including: configuring, testing, documenting, and implementing systems and/or software. In addition, this individual will apply Deltek Global Services (DGS) project and consulting methods and processes. Further, this person will be instrumental in determining work priorities in accordance with project plans, project schedules, changing work demands and DGS policies and practices and will escalate as appropriate.
  • Our consultants apply analytical and technical thinking within areas of assigned responsibility and resolve routine client issues and challenges by identifying possible alternatives, and providing recommendations. In addition, they will be asked to research software implementation issues and provide detail and preliminary recommendations to their project lead (or designated representative).
  • Members of the Deltek Global Services Team assist the entire Deltek consulting team in ensuring client requirements are met by actively soliciting, identifying, and responding to customer questions and assisting with issue resolution. We expect that our consultants take ownership of assigned issues and follows through on commitments.
  • This individual will work collaboratively and build relationships with other consultants, customer staff, and third-party consultants.
  • This individual will be assigned and responsible for other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years consulting experience.
  • Experience with Project Management, Project Controls, Earned Value, Scheduling, or Risk Management.
  • Experience with Deltek Open Plan, Cobra, WelcomHome, MPM, or wInsight. Experience with Microsoft Project, Primavera, or Artemis a plus.
  • High proficiency in computers a must. Technical skills such as SQL, Excel Macros, light to medium coding (VB, FoxPro, .Net, ColdFusion, HTML, Javascript) are a plus.
  • B.A./B.S. or equivalent work experience or technical and/or product knowledge comparable to four-year degree in a related area.
  • Experienced with all aspects of Microsoft Office products.
