Job Summary ' Financial/Program Analyst:
The Program/Financial Analyst, under the direction of the Program Finance Manager, is responsible for all program financial management/program control activities on assigned programs. The Program Analyst will function in a matrix environment and will directly support program managers while adhering to the interests of the Finance Department and the organization as a whole. This position is located at NexGen's headquarters in Dulles, VA.

Duties will include:

' Participate in the bid and proposal process, focused primarily on cost proposal activities.
' Prepare internal and external financial reports and analyses as required for assigned programs.
' Monitor, analyze and report program labor, material and other direct costs on assigned programs.
' Monitor program profitability and provide recommendations and analysis where applicable.
' Prepare financial portion of Program Review presentations on a monthly basis and represent Finance Department in review meetings.
' Work closely with program management staff to prepare forecasts and the resulting estimates at completion.
' Review open accounts receivable periodically. Coordinate closely with PM's and Contracts Manager on outstanding receivable issues.
' Coordination with internal departments to ensure appropriate program execution and participate in accounting period close, revenue recognition process and other internal actions impacted by program activities.
' Participate in preparation of the Incurred Cost and Provisional Rate submissions to DCAA.
Requirements REQUIREMENTS

The qualifications for the position include:
' B.S. degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline with three to six years of related experience.
' Industry specific experience in a government contracting environment a must.
' Experience with Earned Value Management a plus.
' Hands-on knowledge of the FAR and DCAAM a plus.
' Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel); experience with Microsoft Project and/or another Scheduling tool a plus.
' Experience with Deltek's Costpoint business system highly preferable.
' Must be a self motivated and proactive team player with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
' Strong interpersonal and written communications skills and the ability to communicate with staff members of all levels.
' Must be detail oriented and organized
