RTH Software Systems Engineer

Job Requirements
RTH Software Systems Engineer:

We need to fill (2) 6-month Software Systems Engineer - Senior Level positions. The candidates with the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities will need to start ASAP or November 16, 2009.

Work Summary:

The candidates filling these Sr. Software Systems Engineer positions will be responsible for application component analysis, design, code, and testing.

The Software Engineer is involved in new development, enhancement and maintenance work as specified by customer/user requirements.

The Software Engineer performs his/her duties with supervision and direction from the IT Manager, Project Manager, Senior Business/Systems Analyst or Lead Software Engineer.

Significant experience (5+ years) in C++, Object Orientated and/or web/client server software solutions is required.

Proficiency with relational databases, such as Oracle (preferred) or SQL Server databases is required.

Significant experience (3-5 years) in developing web applications, Imaging software, equipment automation software, or workflow solutions is highly desirable.

Responsibilities:

The ideal candidates will be responsible for:
  • Several components of the Generic IMS Investment Proposal
  • AP IMS Workflow Software
  • CPS IMS Workflow Software
  • HSTW IMS Workflow Software
  • Praxis IMS Software

    Experience:

    The ideal candidate must be a technical expert in C# (.NET), C++ and/or web/client server software solutions and be a self-starter.

    The ideal candidate must have 5 years of programming experience with a minimum of 3 years experience with MS Visual Studio in a Windows environment, and a minimum of 2 years experience in imaging or web/client server software development projects.

    Experience with Oracle or other relational databases and in image document/content management systems, particularly in Vignette image document software solutions, is preferred.

    The ideal candidate must have at least 3 years experience of leading software projects thru the complete software development life cycle, including but not limited to, writing design and technical project specifications, writing and enhancing MS VS software, testing solutions, supporting production, and leading post production project reviews.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • MS Visual Studio .NET 2008, 2005, 2003
  • MS Visual Studio 6,
  • C# .NET, Visual Basic or C++
  • ASP.NET web applications, AJAX, Javascript.
  • Relational Database Experience such as Oracle (preferred), SQL Server
  • Database Skills: PL/SQL, Packages, Stored Procedures, Triggers etc
  • XML, XSD, WSDL, SOAP
  • MS IIS
  • Multi-threaded software solutions (desirable),
  • Imaging toolkits like LeadTools, ScanTools and Atlasoft DotImage (desirable)
  • Vignette IDM Content Management Server (desirable),
  • Web Reports (desirable)
  • Good interpersonal skills in order to interact with clients, technical staff, and third parties.

    Education:

    The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree, with coursework in the information processing or business-related curricula, or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired is necessary.
