Summary: Develops, writes, and edits material for proposals and
related technical and administrative publications in print or
electronic media by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other
duties may be assigned:
Receives assignment from supervisor.
Observes production and developmental activities to determine
operating procedure and detail.
Interviews production and engineering personnel to create
proposal content. Reviews government solicitations and data
relative to proposal response creation.
Organizes material and completes writing assignment according
to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style,
and terminology.
Reviews published materials and recommends revisions or
changes in scope, format, and content.
Maintains records and files of work and revisions.
May select photographs, drawings, sketches, diagrams, and
charts to illustrate material.
Arranges for formatting, reproduction, and distribution of
material.

Qualifications:
Five or more years of relevant work experience as outlined
above
Experience with State or Federal Government proposals is
mandatory.
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or
university; or one to two years related experience and/or
training; or equivalent combination of education and
experience.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret government
solicitations.
Ability to write compelling and compliant proposals, business
correspondence/e-mails, and technical manuals and plans
frequently included as proposal attachments.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to
questions from groups of managers.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
