Job Description


We are seeking a detail oriented, well organized, dependable person with excellent interpersonal skills to join our Novi, Michigan office. Position requires strict adherence to health and safety procedures, attention to detail, good work ethic, and a passion for high quality workmanship. Duties may include field related task and require extended travel. Field activities may include such tasks as:

  • Installation of soil borings and groundwater monitoring wells
  • Soil and groundwater sampling per EPA Methods
  • Soil characterization
  • Site Inspections
  • Aquifer testing
  • Elevation surveying
  • Oversight of subcontractors

    Additional duties may include handling day to day tasks such as:

     

  • Data management (compilation, manipulation, and evaluation of data),
  • Writing and preparation of reports, work plans, letters, and memoranda,
  • Preparing cost estimates,
  • Conducting project related research (historic data, regulations, etc.),
  • Preparing periodic status/program reports
  •  


    This position requires both field and office work. Must be proficient with MS Word and MS Excel to prepare technical reports and spreadsheet data entry. Technical writing responsibilities require excellent written communication skills and interaction with staff requires strong interpersonal communication skills. It is essential to this position that the candidate has multi-tasking skills to support the project managers. 40 Hours OSHA certification, 8 hour OSHA Supervisor Training, CPR and First Aid certification desired. Professional certification a plus, but not required.

  • Minimum years of experience: Bachelor's Degree in Geology or related field
  • Education preferred: Master's Degree in Geology
  • This position does require travel. Travel amount is more than 50%.
  • A valid driver's license and clean driving record is required for this position.
  • This position does not manage others
