ACS Dallas Hardware Services Technician
Position requires a familiarity of diverse enterprise level mainframe and midrange computing system hardware, including servers, switches, large scale backup technologies, SAN/NAS technologies, installation, cable and rack management, and repair support for the entire lifecycle of these technologies in a large datacenter environment.
Applicant must be able to respond to notifications of complex computer hardware problems, engage support vendors, manage the service activities, interface with customer and management to keep team up to date on project status and issues, follow ISO processes and manage the associated paperwork and documentation.
Position involves a rotating night time shift.
MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS:
5 years of experience in mainframe and midrange computer system hardware support and system administration.
Good communication skills
Mainframe and midrange hardware troubleshooting skills
5 years of experience with servers, switches, large scale backup technologies, SAN/NAS technologies, installation, cable and rack management, and repair support for the entire lifecycle of these technologies in a large datacenter
Certifications in OEM hardware support, network appliances, or system administration a plus.
A+ certification for hardware technician is desired.
