Provides HR services and support in one or more areas of human resources, i.e. recruiting, compensation, benefits, employee relations, etc. Responsibilities include a multitude of activities such as policy/guideline interpretation, assistance in the escalation of employee grievance issues, liaison to workers’ councils, implementation of business events, workforce balancing, new employee orientation, etc. May also act as a business partner to managers, including counseling senior business managers on people-related strategies.
Key Duties:
Researches job qualifications/hiring needs, interviewing and on boarding of personnel.
Supervision of subordinate Human Resources and Administrative staff.
Acts as internal consultant to all other departments for HR related issues; interprets and administers all ACS employment policies at SDU.
Provides counseling to employees and supervisors; provides guidance on performance and disciplinary issues.
Composes and administers SDU specific employment policies
Administers performance appraisals and makes salary and/or merit increase recommendations.
Participates in developing operating standards and/or making recommendations for improvements in overall unit performance.
Maintains close working relationships with internal ACS business partners including Work Place Partners, recruiters, payroll, etc?
Maintains a positive work environment and staff relations across SDU.
Location Privacy Coordinator for ILSDU.
Monitors to ensure all ACS and SDU required and/or recommended training courses are complete.
Participates in strategic and successor planning.
Specific Requirements (Contract required):
Bachelor’s or graduate degree
Five years experience in HR Management.
Proven experience with employee relations, training, recruitment, and selection.
