Coordinates and ensures that daily tasks are completed by Service Engineers within a given Service region in support of the Transportation Safety Administration. The Regional Technical Specialist reports on daily departmental tasks as required to ensure that Rapiscan meets or exceeds customer expectations. Coordinates technical staff involved in achieving maintenance contract obligations, quality audits, installations, and other projects as required. Ensures that all T&M quotes and invoicing is issued correctly and promptly and forwards monthly reports on regional performance to Program Management and Senior Service Management as necessary. This may require interfacing with multiple departments and multiple company regions to ensure that all work is completed on time and per contractual commitments. Provides administrative support for Service Department on inventory control as needed
- Liaison with key customers at various locations to research and resolve problems and discrepancies ensuring customer satisfaction and care.
- Serves as customer contact on escalations.
- Implements and monitors procedures to streamline and/or improve efficiency of departmental workflow.
- Responds to critical inquiries regarding status of service installation or repairs interfacing with the appropriate department or individual who may reside in different time zones.
- May assist with Maintenance Contracts pricing requirements.
- May be required from time to time to carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Must have the ability to deal with customers where tact may be required to maintain a continuing harmonious relationship.
