Primary Duties: The Patient Access Representative II is responsible for participating in hospital activities that directs customers, collects patient demographic and insurance information and processes that information via an internal computer system for collections and reimbursement.

Requirements

Job Requirements: High School diploma or equivalnt required. One to three years experience in a customer service or health care setting preferred. Continual contact with patients, patients' families, Emergency Room staff and various hospital staff. Must be able to communicate and interact with others professionally, courteously and empathetically. Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to read write and speak English fluently. Able to multi-task, work under pressure and maintain calm composure with customers. Proficient with personal computers - keyboard, windows, mouse, able to use more than one application at one time; ability to type 25 words per minute, successfully pass spelling test.
