We are currently seeking a certified nuclear medicine technologist for a full-time contract opportunity in the Wilkes-Barre area! At least one year of experience of required. Performs all nuclear medicine procedures, demonstrates anatomy under investigation through proper patient positioning, technique selection, administration of radiopharmaceuticals and application of immobilization and radiation protection devices.

Responsibilities include:

Pleasantly greets patients, confirming their identification and correctness of the procedure. Introduces self and completely explains the examination procedure.

Coordinates and participates in a variety of technical procedures, including in vivo and in vitro studies; operates radiation detection and measurement instrumentation including stationary imaging devices, scintillation gamma and other apparatus for in vitro counting.

Qualifications include:

Level I & II

Graduate of an AMA approved Nuclear Medicine Technology training program and/or meets all state required educational & licensing standards.

Current BLS card via state regulation and/or contract specific language.

Current physical exam as required by state or contract specific regulations.

Current TB test or chest x-ray

Level II Position Requirements:

o Possesses at least two years of experience in the Nuclear Medicine field

o One –two years prior supervisory or Team Lead experience.
