    If you are a nurturing, caring, compassionate person who is looking to make a difference in someone's life; the challenging and rewarding field of home care may be for you.  Our program is designed to teach you the basic skills needed to help clients continue to live in their home with some caring support from you.  The course consists of lecture and hands-on training in a classroom setting.  You will learn bathing, safely moving patients, managing daily activities, nutrition, etc.  This course will prepare you to work one-on-one with clients in their home as a Home Care Aide/Companion.The next training class is scheduled for September 28th through October 7th, 2009.  The class usually lasts eight days, Monday through Friday the first week, Monday through Wednesday the second week, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There is a $80 fee to cover the cost of books.  High School Diploma or GED preferred.  Basic math and reading skills required.  Employment is not guaranteed upon completion of this training program.
