Job Description

Ensure quality patient care through education of new and existing employees. Provide training in safe, effective delivery of patient care that assures compliance with standards outlined in the facility procedure manual as well as regulations set forth by state and federal agencies. Develop, plan, and implement a program of education for all facility personnel. Develop, schedule, and direct orientation for all direct patient care staff, reuse technical staff, and other facility personnel as required. Develop instructional materials to assist new personnel in becoming oriented to facility and operational techniques. Determine the effectiveness of orientation materials and procedures through direct observation, and in collaboration with the Director of Nursing Services and Medical Director. Plan, coordinate, and conduct special in-service classes for facility personnel to implement new procedures, policies, equipment, and patient care techniques. Maintains library of books and educational materials for facility personnel. Plan, implement, and evaluate in-service needs of clinical staff.

 


Job Requirements 

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (RN).
Current appropriate state licensure. Minimum of one year of Hemodialysis experience. Minimum of one-year medical-surgical nursing experience preferred. Acute care nursing (ICU-CCU-ACUTE) experience preferred but not required. Management experience preferred but not required. Must be certified in CPR, and preferably in CPR instruction. Must be familiar with all types of dialysis therapy, equipment, and supplies.
