Description Supervises and Coordinates activities of associates concerned with shipping, receiving, and storing materials in a first-in and first-out manner. Create a work environment that is positive for co-workers as well as beneficial to Kerry Ingredients and all parties concerned.
Essential Functions and Duties:
1. Manage outbound shipments to ensure a timely and accurate delivery to our customers.
2. Planning the work schedules of warehouse staff to ensure hours are efficient and productive for the company.
3. Oversee that all inbound freight is properly documented as well as delivered in a way that conforms to Kerry Ingredients standards.
4. Perform routine audits on forklifts to ensure they are working properly. Monitor forklift inspection sheets to ensure they are being signed off correctly.
5. Serve as a resource to answer customer complaints.
6. To work closely with the Quality Control Department to ensure that all product has proper documentation before departure.
7. Assure inventory accuracy by keeping warehouse organized and clean. Work closely with purchasing agent to maintain inventory accuracy.
8. Manage all warehouse employees to ensure Gimp’s, safety rules, food safety and other company guidelines are followed. Ensure employees are properly trained and certified to execute their duties. Hold monthly meetings with employees to ensure good communication.
9. Lead and direct team members. Be in constant communication with management to ensure an efficient flow in the warehouse in relation to all other departments.
10. Ensure all required Kip’s are met regarding facilities goals on safety, production, quality, and costs.
11. Coordinate transportation carriers and performance through utilization of TMS. Ensure all scheduled appointments are timely and in support of production and customer requirements.
12. Be certified to drive a forklift.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience in manufacturing warehouse management.
  • Previous experience within a food manufacturing and distribution environment preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in manufacturing warehouse and distribution leadership role with demonstrated ability to lead change.
