Job Description
Shifts are 5 day work weeks, however some shifts do not have 2 consecutive days off. *All shifts are 4:00PM to 1:00AM, either every Saturday or Sunday. Days off will be split. Training class to begin Monday, December 14, 2009.Starting wage $10.00 plus shift premiums and incentives.WORK LOCATION FOR THIS POSITION WILL BE AT:Time Warner Cable, Inc.3520 Destination Drive Appleton WI, 54915PURPOSE: To serve the customers by providing information and solving problems, selling customers a variety of services and placing the sales orders.ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP: This position reports to a Customer Service Supervisor.MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Train in all functions of customer service and sales.2. Accurately processes requests for new, upgraded, downgraded, transfer or disconnect service.3. Maximizes sales of complete packages, upgrades existing services and saves downgrades or disconnects utilizing Time Warner Cable sales philosophy.4. Answers questions regarding billing procedures and/or problems. Corrects errors or discrepancies on customer billing charges as necessary. Must be able to prepare an itemized statement and understand ledger.5. May call accounts to retrieve equipment and delinquent accounts.6. Performs other duties as assigned.7. Bilingual language skills preferred.HUMAN RELATIONS: This job does not have supervisory responsibilities. It does have extensive outside contacts with customers and the general public.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: This position requires a high school education or equivalent. A minimum of six months of office/clerical experience or equivalent, particularly in the area of customer service and/or sales, is preferred. Experience in public relations or sales is highly desirable. Bilingual language skills preferred.SPECIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: Average typing skills, 10 key by touch, ability to use microfiche viewer, and filing are required. Knowledge of office and personal computer procedures, and the ability to handle large sums of money are also desirable.
