General Summary
Responsible for managing warehouse, receiving, inventory and distribution employees to ensure accurate and efficient fulfillment and receipt of orders. Performs regular quality assurance audits on all aspects of warehouse and distribution areas including freight, shipping and receiving, inventory management, inspection of product/orders, packaging and shipment of order and overall maintenance of facility. Develops processes and policies pertaining to warehouse, receiving, inventory and distribution.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1.Manages, coordinates and expedites warehouse, receiving, inventory and distribution functions. Performs some negotiations/purchases with local vendor contractors.
2.Develops, and maintains standard operating policies and procedures and quality assurance measurement tools to comply with manufacturer, Federal and State requirements.
3.Ensures that all manufacturer standard operating procedures (SOPs), Federal, and State pharmacy and wholesale regulations and Company SOPs are followed with respect to receiving, storing, and shipping of pharmaceuticals and related supplies. Ensures that all applicable documents are maintained.
4.Ensures that the warehouse, inventory and distribution area is maintained in optimal operating conditions and in compliance with OSHA and other regulatory agencies. Ensures that all related equipment is maintained and all supporting documentation of maintenance and cleaning are maintained and are readily accessible for inspection by management and external auditors.
5.Ensures that inventory is maintained at an appropriated level for all pharmaceuticals and their related ancillary supplies as well as required shipping materials.
6.Performs regular quality assurance inspections of all areas and maintains applicable document tracking the results of such inspections. Manages quality improvement efforts as needed.
7.Cooperates and coordinates with other departments to ensure accurate and efficient delivery of drugs and supplies.
8.Keeps abreast of latest developments concerning new regulations, policies, procedures and processes related to therapies, technologies or developments reported from current medical and pharmacy literature regarding special pharmaceutical receipt, storage, and delivery.
9.Ensures compliance with all state and federal regulations with respect to receiving, storing and shipping pharmaceuticals and their related supplies.
10.Interacts with manufacturer’s representatives, internal personnel at senior management level, mid-level managers and staff.
11.Requires some strategic planning, primarily transactional process management and related staff.
12.Provides direction to subordinates and consultation to senior managers. Some negotiations with local vendor contractors.

Required Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent and 6+ years of experience in materials management with 3+ years of experience in distribution leadership. Current Driver’s License.
