Job Description 

The Product Line Manager support sales efforts to secure, attract, and recapture patients. The PLM will assist in all facets of online ordering, online patient and healthcare professional interface to drive sales. Also is responsible for maximizing all contract awards through effective advertising, patient outreach, and public relations efforts.
The role will capitalize on all conference interactions and leads post-conference to ensure maximum sales effect while providing support to functional teams and takes ownership of end-to-end project management for all sales support programs. The PLM must be able to build customer and market insights that lead to compelling advertising. Responsible for conducting market research and developing summary presentations for senior leadership, ongoing competitive spend analysis, report findings and conclusions.
This person must also engage with customers and prospects to obtain feedback data and analyze the data to effectively make recommendations. This role will demonstrate leadership and vision when working with cross-functional teams, develop and convey marketing plans and strategic concepts to internal matrix partners. As the PLM, extensive experience is needed in driving sales online, including experience with e-mail campaigns, managing patient conversion funnel, A/B testing, creating promotions and offers, tracking and reporting ROI of all marketing programs to senior leadership. This role also works closely with sales managers and representatives, manage sales support requests for custom collateral, RFPs, teleconferences, webinars and local seminars, conferences and sponsorships. The PLM will develop effective creative briefs and communication plans that clearly define a campaign's strategy, key message and deliverables. The PLM must be able to establish strong partnerships across all departments and collaborate with peers to develop marketing strategies that build and strengthen the brand's relationship with its customers for alignment with overall business goals
Additional responsibilities as follows:

  • Provide strategic guidance and brand direction to the creative team to ensure sales programs delivers a key message and are tailored for a target audience and fulfill business objectives
  • Understands product, disease state, and service model, as well as additional services provided by the programs per division for designated product line.
  • Coordinates development and implementation of goals and objectives to manage the present operations of the product line, as well as to ensure that service model meets the needs of the manufacturer and the market.
  • Monitors division's service with regards to the competitive environment and develops strategies for positioning of service and pricing.
  • Serves as primary liaison between all departments and key contacts within the manufacturer's corporate staff and field sales force to facilitate communication, address business issues, and develop future initiatives. Serves as primary liaison between the biotech manufacturer and division focusing on manufacturers' needs in areas of packaging, distributions, reimbursement, clinical management, and data retrieval.
  • Actively participates in short and long range planning of the business model resulting in creative and innovative programs to address the future needs of manufacturer, payor, physician, and patient/ customers.
  • Assists in preparation of the budget for product line including sales forecasts, operating expenses, and costs of new program development.
  • Coordinates reporting of information to manufacturer, including routine sales, reimbursement, and outcome data reporting, as well as periodic business summaries for presentation to manufacturers' contacts.
  • Assists in development of CQI processes to ensure the company and biotech partners' needs are being identified and met.
  • Serves as a resource for key sales presentations to the manufacturer's sales force, managed care organizations, and other audiences. Supports managed care and clinical sales force through training, data reporting, and development of resources for promoting the product line to managed care and physicians' customers.
  • Collaborates with marketing departments to develop and implement marketing plan for product line and serves as resource for product related information for marketing materials, newsletters, web pages, and other communications.
