Description The Human Resources Generalist consults with client organizations in various areas such as staffing, workforce relations, training, benefits and compensation, leadership development, change management, performance coaching, strategic business planning, diversity management, conflict management, HRIS management etc.
 
The Human Resources Generalist will act as a strategic consultant to the operations management team and line managers, as well as an advocate for the employee population. Scope Of Responsibility:
 
Provide advice to managers and employees on Human Resources related matters on an assigned account(s) basis

Establish and maintain a good working relationship with key operational leaders

Gain credibility and serve as a front line resource to resolve employee issues

Limited travel may be required.

Requirements
Business Experience/Educational Background:
 
  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology or Human Resources preferred and/or equivalent work experience
  • Knowledge of and experience in terms of interpreting/managing Human Resources policies/practices, benefits, compensation and staffing with a minimum of 5 years of direct experience.
  • Labor management experience preferred, especially in terms of working under a collective bargaining agreement
  • SPHR or PHR certification preferred
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations, including AAP, ADA, FMLA, EEO, etc
  • Familiarity HRIS systems and organizational charting interfaces preferred
  • HR experience and responsibility for a field organization (multiple locations) preferred
  • Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills
  • Experience working in a highly diverse, multicultural operation is preferred
  • Must be fluent in English and Spanish 
  • Able to function in a self service environment; candidate must be possess solid judgment and be comfortable working independently
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is ideal
