The Enterprise System Administrator – Senior performs assigned activities within the scope of the Enterprise Systems Management team. The position requires knowledge of mainframe, server and midrange system maintenance and support, database administration, system availability, system performance and capacity monitoring. Assigned responsibilities include administration of system management and monitoring toolsets, assigned system maintenance and upgrades, trending report generation and maintenance, and configuration of monitoring for file servers, network operating systems, network devices, various infrastructure services, mainframes, minicomputers and other systems as required.CHRISTUS Health is committed to providing meaningful benefits for you and your family and to sharing with you the prosperity you help create. Job Requirements
Education
Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field preferred, or equivalent experience (6 years)
Skills
Working knowledge of mainframe, midrange, and microcomputer, networking strategies, environments, equipment, development tools and methodologies.
Advanced working knowledge of operating systems such as UNIX, Linux, Windows 2000, Windows 2003, and Novell NetWare.
Advanced working knowledge of HP Operations Manager / Openview software
Advanced working knowledge of HP Systems Insight Manager (SIM) software
Advanced working knowledge of HP Network Node Manager (NNM) software
HP Accredited Integration Specialist (AIS) desired
Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft WMI
Programming and/or scripting experience with Microsoft Visual Basic, Visual Studio
Project Management.

Experience
6 years in an information system environment with technical experience in one or more of the following areas: system maintenance and support, database administration, operating system configuration, system monitoring, troubleshooting, software implementation and support.
Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, Novell CNE, Unix/Linux certification, Storage Certification or other industry designations a plus.
