Located in Winston-Salem, we are situated in the beautiful Piedmont Triad region of North Carolina, near the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, an hour from the city of Charlotte and approximately 4 - 5 hours from the beautiful beaches of North Carolina's Crystal Coast. DIRECTOR OF NURSING The Director of Nursing is responsible for providing the leadership necessary tohelp fulfill the Medical Center's mission, key success factors, and annual operating plan. The Director will demonstrate innovative and creative approaches to challenges, effective decision making, constructive two-way communication, and will operationalize the Medical Center's mission, values, and goals. Additional responsibilities include planning, directing, and evaluating the activities, functions, staff and house supervisors for medicine, palliative care, epilepsy monitoring, renal, plastics and burn step-down, neurosurgery, transplant ENT, hemodialysis, patient transport, and diabetic education. The Director ensures the delivery of high quality patient care while initiating and maintaining on-going collaboration with the departments that relate directly or indirectly to operations and services. Master's Degree in Nursing or BSN with Master's Degree in a related field, or higher education is required. A minimum of five years of progressive experience in a nursing management position and demonstrated leadership/management experience is also required including: Current Licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse Proficient oral and written communication skills Healthcare planning, business, evaluation and fiscal management skills Flexibility to respond quickly to change Ability to prioritize work activities to achieve goals in a timely manner Qualified candidates should visit our website at
