As a team, we are dedicated to providing proficient and compassionate pharmaceutical care services to both our patients and health care professionals, and to setting the standards in education, research and safety.We are currently looking for an energetic and knowledgeable Ambulatory Care/Retail Pharmacist with outstanding customer care skills to join our team.Responsibilities:�Interprets and evaluates physicians' medication orders to provide prescribed medications and other pharmaceuticals as needed for adequate patient care according to professional standards and practices.�Oversees pharmacy support personnel. �Works with insurance companies/third party payers to resolve reimbursement and eligibility issues so patients can receive what they need or an alternative drug.�Orders pharmaceuticals. �Assesses pharmacy performance. �Advises/consults with patients and families, medical and nursing staff.Qualifications:1. A Baccalaureate degree in Pharmacy from a college or university accredited by the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy is required. A doctor of pharmacy or clinical Master's of Science degree and completion of a pharmacy practice residency is preferred.2. Current licensure by the Maryland State Board of Pharmacy is required.3. A minimum of two years experience in an integrated health care system, which includes an acute care hospital or equivalent, is required.4. Knowledge of pharmacology, pathophysiology, clinical toxicology, and pharmacokinetics especially the assigned area of focused practice investigational drug research methodology medication distribution and administration systems pharmacoeconomics nursing and hospital administrative practices is required.5. Ability to mentor and/or provide front-line management of pharmacy residents/fellows, pharmacy students and pharmacy support personnel in order to optimize the medication use process.CB
