This marketing manager works in support of WellPoint's Pharmacy Solutions Group marketing team, the department is responsible for all marketing and communications functions for the integrated pharmacy benefit programs offered by WellPoint's affiliated health plans. This individual will be assigned specific lines of business (i.e., group, individual, national, etc.) and will work with the dedicated sales, account management, product, marketing, and communications teams for those respective lines of business to develop appropriate marketing strategies for the integrated pharmacy benefit programs for those lines. Selected candidate will be responsible for developing product marketing strategies and ensuring the marketing strategy aligns with the line of business and enterprise-wide strategies. Primary duties to include, but are not limited to: Builds market-specific, product-marketing plans. Assists in product pricing assessment and recommendations. Serves as a single point of contact on pharmacy benefit program marketing issues and resolution. Coordinates the development and review of pharmacy benefit program communication materials with appropriate resources. Leads development of integrated pharmacy benefit program marketing collateral to support marketing plans. Coordinates with public relations to support marketing initiatives. Provides leadership and direction to marketing support and creative staff.
Requires a BA/BS degree (MBA or MHA preferred); 5 years of marketing experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Requires managed care experience. Pharmacy benefit management (PBM) marketing experience preferred.
