Job Description 

Kelly Services Westshore branch is currently recruiting for CareCentrix in the Tampa, FL area! CareCentrix is America's leading manager of ancillary care benefits. Established in 1996, CareCentrix manages home nursing, infusion and medical equipment services for more than 10 million people across the country through a network of 4,000 credentialed home care providers. By seamlessly integrating care coordination, provider network management, utilization management, billing and claims processing, CareCentrix enables organizations to reduce costs, increase efficiencies and improve patient care.

Positions are 40 hours per week, include short-term, long-term and temporary-to-hire assignments and typically pay between $14 and $15 per hour. 

Requirements for all positions include:

  •  Excellent communication, customer service and problem solving skills
  •  Medical terminology, insurance verification or healthcare experience
         (for example, experience working in surgery centers, general practitioner front office or hospital)
  •  Knowledge of basic spreadsheet / word processing / data entry skills both speed and accuracy required
  •  High School Diploma or the equivalent


    Position Overviews:

    Patient Registration Specialists

    Responsibilities include:

  •  Respond to incoming calls from referral sources/potential patients
  •  Involved in the collection, verification and confirmation of clinical and demographic information
  •  Responsible for providing appropriate issue resolution and escalation when needed
  •  Participate in utilization management and performance improvement activities (specific measurement for contracts)

    Patient Referral Coordination Specialist

    Responsibilities include:

  •  Receive/respond to incoming calls from referral sources/patients, contacts referral sources to advise them of referral status
  •  Locate the appropriate contracted and then out-of-network provider, if necessary, to provide the requested service for the patient/member when a credentialed provider cannot be located
  •  Negotiate favorable rates with out-of-network provider and document appropriate licensure and accreditation
  •  Communicate with other teams and departments as necessary during the referral process

    *In addition to the above requirements, candidates must feel comfortable negotiating rates with the provider representatives. Candidates with sales experience may be good fits for this opening. Experience with ICD-9 coding preferred but not required.

    Eligibility, Benefits and Authorization Specialist

    Responsibilities include:

  •  Respond to incoming/outgoing calls and identify potential payer sources
  •  Request authorization with the payer and provide verification on-line and by phone
  •  Participate in utilization management performance improvement activities (specific measurement for contracts)
  •  Verify and confirm patient insurance, eligibility and benefits including Medicare verification checks
  •  Submit cases to the Patient Advocacy Team (PAT) as needed
  •  Determine who the primary payer is when the member/patient has more than one insurer

    *In addition to the above requirements, candidates have must have experience with a wide range of healthcare plan options. Experience with Medicare and Medicaid a plus.
