Shaw AREVA MOX Services, LLC is a consortium of The Shaw Group and AREVA based in Aiken, SC formed to help advance the US Department of Energy's (DOE) mission to dispose of surplus weapon grade plutonium by fabricating it into mixed oxide (MOX) fuel for use in existing nuclear reactors. The consortium has a contract with the DOE's National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) to design, build and operate the MOX Fuel Fabrication Facility at the Savannah River Site in Aiken, South Carolina.
