ARCADIS is seeking a detail oriented, well organized, dependable person with excellent interpersonal skills to join our Montgomery, Alabama office. Position requires strict adherence to health and safety procedures, attention to detail, good work ethic, and a passion for high quality workmanship.
Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Writing and preparation of reports, work plans, letters, and memoranda,
Preparing cost estimates
Data management (compilation, manipulation, and evaluation of data),
Conducting project related research (historic data, regulations, etc.),
Conducting alternatives analysis,
Preparing periodic status/program reports, and
Contacting regulatory and municipal agencies and subcontractors/vendors to coordinate field activities and obtain project-related information. * Additional duties may include field related task and require extended travel.
Field activities may include such task as:
Installation of soil borings and groundwater monitoring wells
Elevation surveying
Soil and groundwater sampling per EPA Methods
Site Inspections
Soil characterization
Wetland delineations
Construction site health and safety supervision
Industrial environmental compliance inspections
Phase I environmental assessments
Erosion and sediment control inspections
This position requires both field and office work. Must be proficient with MS Word and MS Excel to prepare technical reports and spreadsheet data entry. Technical writing responsibilities require excellent written communication skills and interaction with staff and clients requires strong interpersonal communication skills. It is essential to this position that the candidate has multi-tasking skills to support the project managers. 40 Hours OSHA certification, CPR and First Aid certification desired. Professional certification a plus, but not required.
Position requirements include, but are not limited to:
Minimum years of experience: 3-5
Education required: Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science or related field
Registrations/Certifications preferred: Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC)
This position does requires travel. Travel amount isup to 50%.
A valid driver's license and clean driving record is required for this position.
This position does not manage others
