Pure Yoga General Manager

We are looking for energetic, creative, enthusiastic General Manager to join the Pure Yoga team.  This is a great position for a candidate looking to make a significant impact in a growing and dynamic organization located on East 86th Street in NYC!

  

The purpose of the Pure Yoga General Manager’s position is to manage the club’s revenue and expense goals as well as the continued career development and advancement of staff, while also maintaining the company’s high level of customer service.

  • Employees will contribute to and consistently apply Company’s policies and procedures by effectively working with all Company personnel without to regard to race, religion, age, national origin, gender, physical or mental disability
  • Ensure the implementation of Company standard policies and procedures for business and financial management
  • Hire, train, motivate, direct, coach and evaluate all club managers who are friendly, member-oriented, and committed to achieving the club goals for profitability, customer service excellence, sales and cleanliness
  • Implement and support company programs and promotions to help generate new sales leads for optimum new membership growth
  • Oversee all program revenue goals
  • Oversee expense goals by managing payroll and general and administrative expenses

 

Other responsibilities and duties include:

 

  • Maximize member retention through ensuring high levels of customer service and cleanliness, as well as a variety of innovative and educational programs, continual upgrades of equipment and responsiveness to member needs and suggestions
  • Ensure the club meets Company’s standards for cleanliness, maintenance, safety, security and physical plant operations
  • Ensure club’s participation in local community events
  • Keep current in knowledge of key competitors
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of all club services, programs and products.

 

To perform this job successfully, an individual should meet the following minimum requirements and qualifications:

 

  • Two to three years of managerial and/or sales experience with proven leadership ability in an educational, fitness or professional setting.
  • Proven ability to hire, direct, coach, train and evaluate staff.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to utilize new techniques, ideas and problem solving skills.
  • Possess honesty and personal integrity
  • Enthusiastic, energetic and personable.
  • Passionate and knowledgeable regarding the fitness industry.
  • Ambitious and driven
  • Proven financial, business and human resource management.
  • Working knowledge of all the club’s job descriptions.
  • Computer literate.
  • Excellent time management, organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Required to be at the club when member usage is at the highest level including evenings and weekends.
  • C.P.R. and First Aid certified
