Crittenton Hospital Medical Center is a 290-bed acute care health care facility reaching out to serve communities in Oakland, Macomb and Lapeer counties and is the destination of choice for specialty healthcare services. Crittenton Hospital Medical Center has partnerships with the University of Michigan for electrophysiology and cardiac and vascular surgery and with Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Center for cancer care.
A teaching facility, Crittenton provides a campus for residents from Wayne State University's School of Medicine who are specializing in Family Medicine and Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) as well as Oakland University's School of Nursing.

Master's Degree The Cardiovascular/Thoracic Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant is responsible for providing clinical support services to the patients of the Cardiovascular/Thoracic service line. Support will encompass clinical activities in our Critical Care units, Step-Down units and Medical/Surgical patient floors. Skills will encompass a broad range of cognitive and technical clinical skills, collaborative teamwork, educational activities and documentation requirements. Skills require clinical judgment in diagnosing and managing patients with cardiovascular/thoracic diseases or procedures. Minimum Requirements: 1.) Must have completed a Master's Degree Program in nursing and national certification leading to certification by the State Board of Nursing as a Nurse Practitioner or must have completed a Physician Assistant (PA) Education Program and be certified by the National Commission on Certification of PAs. 2.) Current Registered Nurse license or Michigan Registered Physician Assistant license. 3.) Current ACLS certification. 4.) Previous NP or PA experience in cardiac services preferred. 5.) Cardiovascular experience is preferred or strong experience in either Critical Care or Emergency is required. ~cb~
