Job Description
Job Summary: This position would provide overall administrative coordination and assistance for the three-year CHI Mission and Ministry Grant to advance palliative care. The successful candidate will coordinate various grant projects conducted at (six) participating MBOs to assure that objectives are met on schedule and work plans are implemented appropriately. The coordinator will report to the Chief Development Officer at Saint Elizabeth Foundation. This is a temporary position that will be ending July 1, 2012. Essential Duties: - In collaboration with the personnel at each MBO, develops overall grant goal descriptions and schedules and helps each site develop appropriate steps, schedules and target dates for the various grant projects.
- Facilitates communication between MBOs, including scheduling conference calls or telecommunication events, distributing information and serving as a liaison between the participating MBOs.
- Manages budget for grant, including processing of incoming invoices, requesting payments, tracking, and various reconciliation and reporting.
- Guides development of outcomes measurements and generates mid-year and yearly reports.
- Prepares weekly project status reports and reviews and summarizes these for grant leadership as requested.
- Performs basic desktop publishing for fliers and handouts.
- Maintains accurate contact lists.
- Coordinates event planning and implementation ensuring appropriate support is in place.
- Maintains the confidentiality of information coming into and being disseminated out of the department.
- Works independently, reporting as indicated to the Chief Development Officer.
- Plans and coordinates different grant committee activities in a collaborative spirit, assuring teamwork by providing direction as needed.
- Follows through on goals and objectives of grant and providers leadership in implementation.
- Provides guidance and support to all subcommittees and members.
- Communicates effectively and professionally.
Job Requirements
Education:Experience/skills:- Background in education and/or public administration or related health education.
- Prefer healthcare background, with palliative care/hospice emphasis.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Basic computer and word processing skills. Able to use software in creating databases, reports and graphs.
- Strong program development skills. Demonstrates success with past program development.
- Excellent presentation skills - able to engage the audience and promote audience interaction.
- Ability to work independently and is a self starter - completing projects as directed. Requires minimal supervision.
- Strong customer-service orientation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Conflict management skills.
License/Certification:- Must possess a valid Nebraska driver's license and a driving record compatible with the requirements of SERMC.
