ADMISSIONS ADVISOR
I. Job Overview: The primary responsibility of the Admissions Advisor is to meet or exceed their new student recruitment goal each term. This includes telemarketing, personal selling, admissions testing and decision making, and generating leads through corporate and community outreach.
The Admissions Advisor also provides student services to new and continuing students and actively participates in the day-to-day operation of the Center. Advisors also participate, as needed, in school-wide general administration and special projects. The Admissions Advisor reports to the Assistant Director of Admissions and works closely with, and is regularly evaluated by, the Center Dean.
II. Specific Responsibilities: New Student Recruiting – the Admissions Advisor is responsible for achieving a budgeted goal for new students and strives to reach the expected conversion goals for each stage of the recruiting process. Be highly knowledgeable of DeVry's mission, history, curriculum, individual courses, academic policies and faculty. Internalize DeVry's commitment to high quality and continuous improvement, and have a good understanding of the operational systems. Understand the composition of the local market and the competitive environment and how these factors affect the Center’s ability to achieve its goals.
III. Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor's Degree preferred. Prior related sales experience; School Admissions experience a plus. Excellent communication skills and flexibility to work two evenings a week and some Saturdays. We offer a competitive salary, benefits program, including education tuition benefits.
