This is an outstanding opportunity for an individual with prior warehouse experience who is looking to manage a team of employees and who enjoys the warehouse/yard setting. We provide a competitive benefits package with growth opportunities.
In this role, you will efficiently control warehousing and operations by managing personnel and equipment while being a communications link for non-exempt employees and management.
Your responsibilities will also include (but are not limited to):
- Maintaining balance of employee workload to staff levels
- Overseeing maintenance of all equipment
- Recruiting and hiring staff
- Promoting Allied's safety standards
- Providing superior service to all internal and external customers
- Assisting in day-to-day sales activities
- Promoting Allied's leadership qualities
- Training new employees
- Conducting regular job-site inspections
- Assisting Branch Managers with inventory control
- Managing warehouse security
- Understanding Operations section of Branch Financial Statement
- Ensuring adherence to DOT Regulations
- Performs other duties as assigned

- Previous experience in logistics and distribution
- Building materials industry experience preferred
- Ability to work well with people
- Ability to understand needs of employees
- Must be able to work both indoors and outdoors under adverse weather conditions
- Must be able to handle all types of building products
- Must be able to lift 1-75 lbs repeatedly throughout the day
- Must have experience working directly with the customer
- Ability to operate all equipment and lifts
- Ability to perform the duties of dispatcher
- Ability to prioritize many tasks
- Bi-lingual a plus
