What Applications Design & Develop contributes to CareFusionApplications Design and Development is responsible for designing, implementing and supporting applications, systems and IT products required to enable CareFusion's business objectives.
What is expected of you for success in your role - Requires in depth knowledge of organization stated technology standards, procedures and methods.
- Requires experience with multiple development methodologies.
- Translates and interprets functional requirements documentation for medium projects.
- Develops solutions for the organization's core application systems and supports interfacing systems.
- Assists in system/applications integrations.
- Performs design reviews.
What is expected of you and others at this level in IT - Center of Expertise for functional success - Uses deep subject matter/functional expertise, influence and process skills to help internal/external customers and stakeholders identify and meet their high priority needs while considering cultural and diversity implications.
- Jointly develops practical implementation plans that consider cultural sensitivities with other accountable parties.
- Encourages informed Risk-taking and acts as a catalyst for innovation at CareFusion; generates practical, sustainable and creative options to solve problems and create business opportunities, while maximizing existing resources.
- Proactively develops and maintains technical knowledge in specialized area(s), remaining up-to-date on current trends and best practices;
- Performs assessments and listens to internal/external customers to understand and anticipate their needs and determine their priorities in the context of the overall enterprise.
Accountabilities in this role - Motivated, self-starter required for internal analyst/consulting role for major internal projects.
- Require strong (PS) Project Systems - Logistics
- Working knowledge of MM, PP would be an advantage
Qualifications - 5-7 years of progressively responsible experience in systems analysis and design.
- Industry experience must include exposure to the following areas/technologies:
- 5-7 years SAP practical, hands on configuration experience in PS (Logistics) over at least 3 full life cycle implementations, plus at least another one of the following areas: MM/PP
- Strong systems development life cycle experiences, from detailed requirements definition, analysis, design, development and validation through implementation.
- Excellent systems integration knowledge with other SAP modules.
- Related business experience in the Medical Device industry would be a distinct advantage.
- Require candidate who is results oriented with very good time management, verbal and written communication and problem solving skills
- Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science, Business or related field preferred or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience required
- Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational, and planning skills.
- Proficient PC skills; including working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
