The Sales Manager (SM) position will be responsible for a K-12 (+) territory which will consist of the following geographic areas:  Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Alaska. The position reports to the Western Regional Sales Manager.
 
Prospective candidates will possess a quantifiable record of success in Education and/or Technology sales with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales goals. The candidate will have experience in offering a solutions-based approach to district, campus and classroom technology requirements. In addition the candidate must either have in place or be adept at, developing business relationships at the Superintendent level on down. The ability to prospect and manage the territory, as well as develop new business in competitive situations is essential.
 
Ideal candidate will have experience in selling any or all of the following products: Interactive Whiteboards, Classroom Response Systems and/or Curriculum software. Added plus will be if candidate comes out of classroom or technology department of school/district. Candidate must be skilled at working with all levels within school/district administration. Candidate must be a strong presenter, including excellent verbal and written communication skills.
 
Candidate must have excellent verbal as well as written communication skills and the ability to articulate mimio products as well as mimio benefits to the accounts. Must be comfortable in demonstrating the mimio product line to varying audience sizes.
Additionally, the candidate must be highly motivated and organized, able to travel, reside (and currently selling) in the territory, the ability to work independently, and possess strong analytical/problem solving skills.
 
Position Objectives:
 
Increase mimio product sales into the K-12 (+) territory of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Alaska.
Improve customer satisfaction with increased availability of mimio end user sales support via on-site demos and trainings (or on-line and on-site).
 
Essential Duties:
 

  •         Attend, demonstrate, and sell mimio at local, regional, and national education trade shows.
  •         Demonstration, training, and sales of mimio systems to education customers and Value Added Resellers.
  •         Provides mimio sales support to mimio customers (Resellers and End Users)

     

    Qualifications:

    • Education:
       
    •         Bachelor's Degree
       
      Experience and other Requirements:
       
    •         Demonstrated record of sales achievements
    •         Minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience in technology based products into education market.
    •         Currently resides (and selling) in the K-12 (+) territory of: WA, OR, ID and AK
    •         Ability to explain, sell and support end user requirements for technically oriented products
    •         Web browser, MS office (including Excel and PowerPoint) skills
    •         Previous experience with CRM software, preferably Salesforce
    •         Strong organization and time management skills
    •         Strong presentation, oral and written communication skills
    •         Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
    •         Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time.
    •         Relationship selling style (required element of selling to educators).
